2017 Comprehensive Plan Update (in process)

The City of Milford is in the process of updating the City's 2008 Comprehensive Plan.  The Planning Commission has been holding workshops on the third Tuesday of each month since July 2016, reviewing and updating goals, objectives and language for each chapter of the plan.  The Planning Commission, with the assistance from the University of Delaware Institute for Public Administration, has produced a draft Comprehensive Plan document that is now open for public viewing and comment.  See below for link.  The City invites all property owners, business owners and residents to attend an informational session on May 3, 2017 at the Milford Public Library, 11 SE Front Street, the first being 1:30 to 3:00pm and the second from 4:30 to 6:00pm.

Written comments can be submitted to Rob Pierce, Planning Department, 201 S. Walnut Street, Milford DE or via email at  The Planning Commission will hold a public meeting on May 16, 2017 beginning at 5:30pm at City Hall to review the submitted comments and solicit additional public comment on the draft plan.  Feel free to contact Mr. Pierce at 302-424-8396 should you have any questions regarding the plan material or meeting dates.

The plan should be completed and certified by the State of Delaware by the end of 2017.
