2017 Comprehensive Plan Update (in process)

The City of Milford is in the process of updating the City's 2008 Comprehensive Plan.  The Planning Commission has been holding workshops on the third Tuesday of each month since July 2016, reviewing and updating goals, objectives and language for each chapter of the plan.  The Planning Commission, with the assistance from the University of Delaware Institute for Public Administration, produced the draft 2017 Comprehensive Plan document that was reviewed by City Council in June 2017 and submitted to the State of Delaware, Office of State Planning Coordination for Preliminary Land Use Service (PLUS) review in July 2017 (see below link for PLUS comments).  The Planning Commission approved text revisions to the draft 2017 Comprehensive Plan (see below link) in response to agency comments at the September 2017 meeting and the revised draft has been forwarded to the State for review.  Assuming there are no further State comments, final adoption public hearings with the Planning Commission and City Council will be scheduled in November and December 2017.
